As expected, James Lynch from Sixmilebridge, Co Clare, saw off the challenge of Mitchelstown’s Pat O’Keeffe to take the chair of Dairygold co-op in a board vote on Monday.Tom Feeney, Ballyheaphy, Araglen, Co Cork, secured the position of vice chair.
Lynch came to prominence when he hosted a visit by China’s premier, Xi Jinping, in February 2012.
Meanwhile I hear Seamus O’ Mahony, currently business development manager with Barryroe Co-op, is joining Dairygold in a supplier development role.
