With melanoma diagnoses having exceeded 1,000 cases per year in Ireland for the first time, the Irish Skin Foundation has launched its Protect & Inspect campaign to help people enjoy their fun in the sun safely this summer.
The main aim of the campaign is to
help clarify and simplify how people can protect and inspect themselves against skin cancer as, in most cases, it is preventable, with early detection leading to better outcomes.
Visit Irishskin.ie for advice, including learning how to identity your skin type, tips for going on sun holidays, and the five Ss to reduce your risk.
