This week, Fendt marked its introduction to the telehandler market with the Cargo T955. This comes as part of the company’s ambition to expand its product range. Fendt’s venture into the telehandler business is in co-operation with Sennebogen, a German firm that builds port cranes and other material handling machines.
The standout feature on the telehandler is a unique lifting cab. It allows the cab to be raised to a viewing height of 4.25m.
Although we couldn’t gain access to the cab at the show, Fendt has said there’s no dash obstructing the lower part of the continuous windscreen, ensuring full floor-to-ceiling view of the surroundings. The cab is also vibration-dampened.
The handler has a maximum lifting capacity of 8.5m and a maximum lifting capacity of 5.5t.
The handler has a maximum lifting height of 8.5m and a maximum lifting capacity of 5.5t. It offers variable driving speeds of up to 40km/h. The machine is really heavy, with an operating weight of 11.8t. Meanwhile, it’s powered by a 4.5l, four-cylinder engine and has a hydraulic flow rate of 200l/min. The rear axle has the ability to oscillate by +/- 8°. Fendt said the Cargo T model range is set to expand in 2020.
