Massey Ferguson (MF) is now manufacturing a total of five fixed- and variable-chamber balers in an attempt to meet the requirements of all users, from smaller farms to high-output contractors. Some of the features included in the new baler range include the camless pickup, hydroflexcontrol anti-block system, constant pressure system, Xtracut cutter and Varionet wrapping.

MF balers can be purchased with a choice of 13, 17 or 25 knives on fixed- and variable-chamber balers. Likewise, a range of pickup widths are available from 2m on the MF RB1125F up to 2.4m on MF RB 4160V and RB 4180V models.

The balers are retailed with a choice of Isobus-compatible control or a dedicated terminal. The fixed-chamber range is fitted with a total of 18 Powergrip rollers, 22cm in diameter. The round baler range is also available with a range of optional extras, which include air brakes and larger tyres.

The variable-chamber baler range is made up of two models. The MF RB 4106V makes bales from 0.9m to 1.6m in diameter, while the MF RB 4180V goes from 0.9m to 1.8m. These balers are fitted with four seamless belts.

According to Adam Sherriff from Massey Ferguson Harvesting: “The MF RB series joins the recently introduced mower, rakes and tedders, which quickly proved popular.”
