Sixty years on from the launch of Husqvarna’s first saw, the company has introduced two new 50cc (4hp) models which they claim to be completely redesigned from the ground up.
The saws feature 13% greater cooling capacity when compared to the firms previous generation 50cc range. Updated engine Auto Tune on the saws claim a 10 times faster air to fuel mix adjustment. The mark II models have Husqvarna’s Air Injection technology which uses centrifugal air cleaning to remove dust before it even reaches the air filter.
Although the new models are housed within a slimmer body, they weigh in at 5.3kg, slightly heavier than the mark I range. Performance improvements are said to make up for this weight gain. The X-Torq engine is said to be more fuel efficient, with a better emission rating.
