With over 500 lots up for grabs, a significant crowd of machinery enthusiasts from all over Ireland made the trip to Co Carlow in search of a bargain at the Kelly’s of Borris clearance auction.
There was a hive of buyer activity on the day for the smaller value lots such as garden equipment and tools, with these items reaching a clearance rate of 95%.
This 2005 John Deere 6920s Autopower tractor sold for €15,000.
There was also significant interest also shown for the tractors and more so the broad selection of implements.
Despite the large crowd, many of the larger lots such as the foragers, combines and wheel loaders failed to meet their reserves. Across the board, the larger equipment had a clearance rate of 65%.
This 2008 Valtra T121 come with front suspension and three spools. With just 4,000 hours showing on the clock, it sold for €15,000.
The lots up for grabs included self-propelled harvesters, combines, tractors, loading shovels, mowers, balers, rakes, sprayers, ploughs and more including smaller stuff such as workshop tools etc.
The auction was hosted Michael Doyle Auctions. All prices listed and the 5% commission are subject to 23% VAT.
This immaculate 2015 Massey Ferguson 7244 combine had just 243 engine hours on the odometer. With an 18ft header, it went unsold at €44,000.
