Swedish chicken processing company Scandi Standard announced on Tuesday that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Manor Farm, the largest chicken processor in Ireland, in a deal worth €70m. The Cavan-based Carton family has around 130 farmers contracted as growers and about 43 contracted as breeders. It employs 850 people and has its own feed mill with revenues of €80m.
