AgriSearch has launched CalfCheck, a new five-part video series providing farmers with practical, science-based guidance to improve calf health, welfare and lifetime performance.
The series follows the full calf-rearing journey, from management of the pre-calving cow through to weaning, focusing on key decisions that influence early growth and long-term productivity.

Reduce risk
The videos cover calf housing, animal health planning, vaccination and biosecurity, as well as hygiene practices to reduce disease risk.
The series combines expert input and on-farm experience, with contributors including vet Treenie Bowser, calf rearer Charlie Casey of Carnhill Holsteins, Aaron Browne of Trouw Nutrition, and dairy farmer and nutritionist, Claire Beckett.
All episodes are available on the AgriSearch YouTube channel, with new videos released weekly.
