The Portauns, Mount and Ryans Angus herds will host a sale of 60 pedigree Angus heifers in Mid-Tipp Mart, Thurles, Co Tipperary, on Friday 5 September.

Titled the Black Diamonds Sale, it will consist of red and black Angus heifers sired by both elite stock bulls and leading AI sires, with decades of thoughtful breeding, combining calving ease, short gestation, performance, and breed character.

A variety of in-calf, maiden and a number of embryo lots are catalogued for the sale.

All three herds have enjoyed success at shows and sales around the country in recent years, as well as producing some notable AI sires.

Heifers purchased for export will return home, be retested and exported after 30 days.

Those purchasing heifers for export are asked to make contact with the vendor’s in advance of the sale.

This is an in-person sale, with all lots going through the ring in Mid-Tipp Mart, commencing at 7pm. Bidding will be ringside and online through the MartEye platform.
