The Dealer hears the gardaí and customs officers were very active in the Carrigallen area of Leitrim on Monday night, coinciding with the mart sale. They were on a mission to check farmers’ trailer licences and dip for green diesel. I’m told they spent around two hours at the job at peak mart time, with a noticeable effect on the trade.
