Dermot Farrell will represent Lakeland Dairies, Tim Healy will be the Dairygold nominee when he joins in March, while Frank Tobin will be the Tirlán nominee from June this year.
All three bring a wealth of experience. Indeed, Healy had a 37-year career with Dairygold, while Tobin did 46 years with Tirlán in its various iterations.

However, does the Ornua board need fewer former co-op executives and more entrepreneurial young farmers or food producers?
In short, does the board need more zest? Of the 15 current incumbents, The Dealer reckons that at least 10 are eligible for the free travel.
Heft in terms of experience is always a plus, but a bit of zip from Gen Z – or the parents of Gen Z – would also be helpful.
