For those of you who don’t know, Nuffield is a fellowship where farmers sign up to travel the world to broaden their minds about agriculture. You get a few bob from an agri company to fund the whole thing and you write a report at the end, not too dissimilar to a masters degree.
Anyway, chairman of Nuffield Ireland Bill O’Keeffe (not the one who writes here) is stepping down. Bill did immense work in raising the profile of what Nuffield does in Ireland. While a full nomination process must take place with the electorate voting a new chairman, vet Geoff Dooley is being seen by many of the committee as an early frontrunner for the job.
