A dispatch that caught my eye in recent days related to poultry, Morocco and cannabis. Let me explain.

Hassan II Agricultural and Veterinary Institute in the country’s capital of Rabat has been given the green light for a study on the potential use of a cannabis extract in poultry feed.

The study will investigate the role of this cannabis extract in improving gut heath, immune systems and improving overall productivity in poultry farming. It will also research if it can serve as a replacement for growth-promoting antibiotics.

And no, from my understanding the extract is similar to that of CBD, so it doesn’t give the ‘stoned’ effect. The chickens could be disappointed.
