Arrabawn Co-op has elected a new chairman. Galway man Sean Monahan was elected on Monday, succeeding Patrick Meskell. Sean runs a 120-strong Holstein Friesian cow dairy farm in Athenry. Edward Carr, Thurles, and John Ryan, Newport, were elected as vice-chairmen.
Sean was a Mid-west Co-op supplier prior to its amalgamation with Nenagh to form Arrabawn 14 years ago.
