It is a bad start to the morning for farmers in Co Donegal.
Met Éireann has issued a rainfall warning for the county which is valid until Thursday morning.
Otherwise, Wednesday will be a dry day for most people across Munster and south Leinster.
There will be rain, some of it heavy at times, for the rest of the country.
Some of the rain will turn persistent and heavy.
Top temperatures will range from 14°C to 15°C.
