William Chestnutt and his wife Alison have just started a new venture selling bottled milk from a self-service machine direct to the public from their 260 dairy herd on the outskirts of Portrush, Co Antrim. \ Houston Green
The milk is dispensed in reusable glass bottles in two sizes - 1litre or 250ml - and there is also a range of flavourings that are free to use to make milkshakes. \ Houston Green
Three-year-old James Cochrane from Bushmills, Co, Antrim, along with his mother Rosemary was the first customer for William Chestnutt’s new venture on his farm. \ Houston Green

He is creep feeding his calves to fulfill his meal feeding requirement for the BEEP scheme. The meal feeding of calves for four weeks pre-weaning and for two weeks post-weaning is one of the elements of the scheme, which can deliver €40 per calf. \ Philip Doyle
