Building on the success of last year’s inaugural foal sale at Mullingar Equestrian Centre, the Mayo Roscommon Breeders’ Group has assembled another catalogue of over 50 selected foals for its forthcoming sale on Saturday 5 October.
The Mayo Roscommon Breeders’ Group is a grass roots initiative by breeders who have come together to ensure there will be a viable future for traditional sport horse breeders in the region.
The sale is a platform for a selection of the best foals produced this season with the potential to be future top performers in show jumping and eventing. The group operates as an equine Knowledge Transfer group under the auspices of the Department of Agriculture, facilitated by Patrick Hester. The foals were selected following inspection at a number of shows and centres countrywide during the summer.
The full sale catalogue is available online on the Mullingar Equestrian website. Mullingar Equestrian Centre also has a sale of Performance Ponies and Horses, with over 70 lots entered, this Saturday October 28 commencing 10.30 am.
