Pöttinger recently held a ground-breaking ceremony on the site of a new proposed €25m factory.

The Austrian-based firm is planning on building its Impress round baler and Top C four-rotor rake in the plant by early summer 2021 at the latest. The site of the new plant is just 5km away from the company's headquarters in Grieskirchen (AT).

Despite the current challenging situation, Pöttinger has noted that it is sticking to its expansion plans, with the new plant due to open following a building phase of just over a year.

An investment of €25m will see an assembly plant with a floor space of 6,300sqm built during the first construction phase. With almost 2,000 employees worldwide, this will be Pöttinger’s fourth factory.
