To avoid a clash with the Dublin Horse Show this year, the Connemara Pony Breeders’ Society (CPBS) have announced the annual show will take place a week earlier than usual on August 8th-12th.

Some of the changes introduced include a new broodmare championship and in-hand classes moved from the usual Thursday to Wednesday.

Classes will be split between rings one and two and the show will welcome the return of four to six-year-old stallion classes and classes for both mares and foals and also dry mares.

New classes for Thursday and Friday include a 13.2hh and under ridden class for under 14s; a working hunter class for the 13.2hh and under and a performance working hunter class (phase two removed).
