All dairy processors have now set milk prices for September and for the third month this year there has been a price increase applied across the board.

Glanbia Milk/Fivemiletown set its price late last week, adding 1p/l to its base price which is now on an “all-in” 27p/l, inclusive of its 0.6p/l year round bonus.

This keeps Glanbia out in front on base price in NI, next being Dale Farm on an “all-in” base of 26.3p/l after a 0.75p/l price increase.

Aurivo was the final processor to declare a price for September, and like Glanbia Milk, went up by 1p, taking base price to 26.25p/l.

It’s a price matched by Lakeland, with Strathroy and Glanbia Cheese on a base of 26p/l. All three applied a 1p/l increase.

Across all processors, base prices now average 26.4p/l which is the highest monthly average base price this year, and the second highest monthly average since February 2019.
