Athlone Agricultural Show attracted a bumper attendance estimated to be up as much 80% on recent years.
With over 600 equine entries, all classes were well supported within the ridden, young horses in-hand, Connemara and working hunter sections.
Athlone Show was privileged to have Henrietta Knight the renowned trainer of Best Mate, three-time Cheltenham Gold Cup winner as a member of the judging panel.

Speaking after the show Ms Knight complemented the high standards in all the classes and the excellent entries. She remarked that there were some very good individuals and a very worthy Champion Young Horse that she described as a gorgeous filly with a lovely head and a great outlook.
