Owners of robotic milking machines have established an action group.
This follows a meeting held last week by a number of farmers who have recently become aware of each other’s problems with their machines. The intention is to work together to resolve the “significant and ongoing” issues they have all been experiencing.
The meeting heard farmers share their ongoing issues, which they believe relate to the installation and/or maintenance and servicing of the robotic milking units on their farms.

The farmers came from all four corners of the country, own robotic milkers manufactured by different companies and are dealing with a variety of agencies selling and servicing on behalf of those companies.
These issues extend over many years, and remain unresolved for the farmers who attended.
The group is concentrating on issues relating to robotic milkers, but understands that other farmers may be experiencing difficulties with “conventional” herringbone, or indeed rotary parlours and such farmers are also welcome to make contact.
The group is inviting any farmer who has experienced significant issues with robotic milking units to get in touch. Ring or text James at 087-1083829.
