Rouge All-Ireland heads to Monaghan

Claiming top spot in the Rouge ram lamb all-Ireland at last Sunday’s Clonmel Show was Malcolm Workman from Drumhirk House, Co Monaghan.

No stranger to the Rouge showing scene, Malcolm had judged the breed in Clonmel in previous years. However, this time he was on the other side of the fence as judge George Knox tapped him forward in a 14-head strong class as all-Ireland ram lamb champion. This one is sired by an imported stock ram from Belgium, from a full French ewe. Malcolm also placed first with his ewe lamb on the day, which went on to be reserve overall champion.
