Lamb prices up to €5.10/kg

The sheep trade is ending the year with lambs trading on average from €4.90/kg to €5.00/kg.

Agents have been active in marts to build supplies for the Christmas period.

Lamb prices are steady, trading on average from €4.90/kg to €5.00/kg. Top prices rise to €5.05/kg to €5.10/kg by means of producer group and conformation bonuses. This leaves prices running 20c/kg to 30c/kg above last year’s levels.
