Minister for Agriculture Martin Heydon presented Ruth Connolly the award which is aimed at recognising females innovating and excelling in the agri-food sector.
Country Crest, which has now appealed the decision, had originally secured planning approval for an anaerobic digestion plant on the site in 2012, but this lapsed in 2023.
