MEP Maria Walsh said that the rise of animal disease has the potential to “ravage” farms, and is emerging as one of the top agriculture concerns in the EU.
The Minister for Agriculture also said those travelling from foot-and-mouth disease-affected regions should not enter a farm for 14 days after arriving in Ireland.
