Tanco has refreshed its Cleanafeed which can clean, wash and chop beet in half-tonne loads, costing around €5,600, including VAT.

The two bale shear models can split bales of silage and remove plastic and netting. They can also split bales of hay and straw and remove netting only. The optional meal bucket auto-locks onto the bale shear. The multi-shear completes the bale shear range and is suitable for pit or for bales of silage. The I75 works as a shear grab/block cutter and a bale shear. Powered by two high capacity hydraulic rams, the front and side blades cut the silage block, leaving a clean, sealed face to prevent secondary fermentation. Bales can also be easily split while plastic and netting are retained. Cranked tines are fitted as standard. There are no operational changes from pit to baled silage. Tanco claims that the I60 Cleanafeed bucket is making a comeback this year as there is a resurgence in feeding beet this winter. At half-tonne capacity, this loader or linkage mounted attachment self-loads, washes, cleans and chops to consistent size.
