Well-attended dairy farm walk in Co Armagh

The Ulster Grassland Society’s autumn meeting was a visit to the dairy farm of Claire Beckett at Drumlin Road, Craigavon, Co Armagh. Host farmer Claire explains the layout of the family farm to over 120 members before the start of the walk. \ Houston Green

Scott and society RCM Paul Colhoun from Omagh, are traveling the country visiting twenty four farms for this years Competition. This two-year-old Charloais heifer called George will be up for auction at Ballybay Mart in Co Monaghan next Friday 28 October at 7.30pm. All proceeds will be donated to the Irish Cancer Society and Crocus Monaghan. She was bred and reared by the Shannon, Peter and Nadine McCarra from Scottstown, Co Monaghan who have kindly donated their family pet.
