Topcon’s new AGM-1 receiver will replace its predecessor, the SGR-1 receiver. This is Topcon’s entry level manual guidance GNSS receiver.

The firm says the new receiver has built on proven capabilities to provide flexible manual guidance in a compact and highly durable form for virtually any machine type, make and model.

The receiver features scalable accuracy, including autonomous and SBAS (WAAS, EGNOS, & MSAS). When it comes to the interface, the AGM-1 has flexibility across the Topcon X family consoles, NMEA0183 and NMEA2000. The firm says it encompasses more stable pass-to-pass accuracies, featuring TruPass™ advanced positioning technology.

Topcon says increased durability (IP69K from IP66K) is its most significant improvement over previous SGR-1 receiver, which they claim provides flawless performance in harsh conditions. Topcon says its user interface offers painless setup through Horizon Software, and its entry level application control capability, and clear path to upgradeability makes this the ideal manual guidance package for spraying and spreading applications. The AGM-1 Receiver will fit standard AGS-2 brackets or magnet mounting with 3M tape option.
