The Cork woman has been involved in dairying all her life. Briege was born on a dairy farm, and she and her husband Diarmuid at present milk 600 cows in partnership with Mike Bateman.
During the Women & Agriculture banquet, Briege spoke to Irish Country Living about her love of being out around the yard as a child, managing a dairy herd and how farming can translate to fitness.
