Tullow Mart is the second mart to take on the Jerusalema challenge, following in the footsteps of Carnew Mart and An Garda Síochana.
The video which was posted on Tullow Mart’s Facebook page on Monday evening has gone viral, with some comments saying: “It’s the best one I’ve seen yet.”
Speaking to the Irish Farmers Journal, Tullow Mart manager Eric Driver speaks about the positive response it has had on his staff, clients and Facebook followers.
“I think there is a calling for all marts to take part in this challenge. It builds staff moral, lifts peoples’ spirits and gives your clients and Facebook followers something to laugh at for a couple of minutes. And you know yourself, laughing is the best medicine.”
Second video coming this Friday
Eric says that there was some disappointment among staff who missed out.
“I have a problem, some of the lads who didn’t do it are sorry they didn’t do it, and some of the staff that are in on a Friday didn’t get a chance to do it, so we are going to have to give them a spin – off the clock – on Friday, so there will be another dance coming out on Friday,” Eric said.
