Farm assistant Co Kilkenny

A grass-based 550-cow dairy farm in Co Kilkenny is seeking to fill a farm assistant position. This position is available for the calving period from late January to April.

Just a 10-minute drive from Kilkenny city, this farm boasts excellent farm facilities, including a 60-point rotary, auto-drafter, cubicles, group calving shed and good grazing infrastructure. Good animal husbandry skills are preferable, but not necessary for this role.

MSD territory manager

MSD is looking for a pig and poultry manager, a role which is a mixture of field- and office-based work.

The areas covered by this role will be south of Galway and Dublin with regular travel to Northern Ireland and frequent overseas travel for internal and external meetings.

You will be accountable for the sales and market development of the pig and poultry portfolio within this area, working with farms, veterinary practices, poultry/pig integrators, co-ops and licensed merchants.

Previous experience in herd management, general farm duties and calf rearing would be an advantage for this role.
