In all European countries, traffic laws limit the transport width of machinery on roads. In Ireland, often times the width of our country roads can be the limiting factor. To overcome both situations, Krone has introduced a front-mounted folding conditioner mower. This mower has a working width of 4m, yet it can fold in to a transport with of 3m.

How does this occur? When it comes to folding up the mower into transport position, the outer sections of the cutterbar rotate backwards and inwards. Meanwhile, the protective covers pivot upwards and inwards, folding into a nice compact unit.

The new model in question is the EasyCut F 400 CV. Krone have also outlined that this concept will work well with a rear or a butterfly unit, as the extra cutting overlap will help avoid striping on bends or slopes. It also eliminates the need for fitting complex side shifts or other sensor-based control systems. The machine was awarded a silver medal by the DLG jury ahead of the show this week.
