A series of free meetings to raise awareness of the importance of psychological support for advanced prostate cancer survivors will take place this month as part of the Man To Man campaign launched by Janssen and the Irish Cancer Society. The meetings follow a new European survey that reveals prostate cancer patients are more likely to worry about intimacy problems (54%) and feeling ill (41%) than the risk of death from cancer (36%). The meetings will take place in the Radisson Blu Letterkenny on 10 November, the Brandon Hotel Tralee on 17 November and the Radisson Blu Athlone on 24 November, from 7-8pm, and will feature a survivor sharing their personal story, as well as experts talking about practical supports.
