Roy Collier is attempting to beat the world record for shearing lambs next Sunday. Collier hopes to shear 600 lambs in nine hours – that’s more than one a minute. The event is being sited on Roy’s home turf in Knockrobin, near Camolin, Co Wexford.

As well as the record attempt, a host of events have been lined up for all the family. It’s in support of two very good causes, as the money raised will be shared between the Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation and LauraLynn Hospice, both of which provide support to children with illness and their families.
