Over the past 10 days, further merchants, mills and co-ops have opted to follow national price trends by setting average green grain harvest prices at around €200/t.

Wexford-based John Bolger and Company set green feed barley, wheat and oats prices at €200/t plus an additional €5/t input purchase bonus.

Nationally, reported green feed barley prices are ranging from €195/t to €210/t, with averages around €200/t at 20% moisture content. In many cases, green feed wheat prices are matching that of barley or trading around €5/t below. A larger variation can be found with green oats, however. Reported prices are ranging from €190/t to €210/t at between 18% and 20% moisture content. Depending on the business, transport bonuses may or may not be included in the final price.
