On Friday 4 November as part of the inaugural ATU graduation ceremony hosted by the ATU Donegal (Letterkenny Campus) a total of 55 students were awarded agricultural qualifications.
35 of these were for the Level 8 BSc Hons in Animal and Crop Science, of which Shane Ward was presented with the Aurivo sponsored prize for top student. Seventeen students also received their level 7 BSc in Agriculture, 11 of whom are currently enrolled in the final year of the level 8 program.
ATU is one of the largest multi-campus universities in Ireland, serving a diverse group of learners, staff, communities and organisations from the region and further afield.
The agricultural courses, previously offered on the Letterkenny Campus under the LYIT banner, have gone from strength to strength in recent years and now under the ATU banner with numbers in the range of 140+, the future looks bright for this centre of learning.
