There have been many calls in the last few days on how to apply for the new Beef Finisher Scheme.
We've put together some screen grabs into a step-by-step video on applying for the scheme.
All applications must be submitted via www.agfood.ie, the Department of Agriculture's online portal for BPS applications and animal movements.

The application process is relatively simple. It's important that suckler farmers who wouldn't have slaughtered cattle during the reference period log in and check to see if they have any animals eligible for payment.
For example, if cull cows were sold in a mart and slaughtered within 30 days of selling, the payment will revert to the person who sold the animal in the mart, so it's important not to miss out on any potential payment.
Applications are open from 19 August until 9 September. Applicants must be either a member of the Bord Bia SBLAS or undertake to become a member by 30 September 2020.
