The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine is looking to hire technical agricultural officers to help run its services and schemes.
The salary scale begins at €24,712 for the roles on a panel that covers all 26 counties.
Technical agricultural officers are involved in operating controls on animal welfare, EU payment schemes, public and animal health.

The role includes the supervision and monitoring of food business operator activities and a range of meat plants, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Applicants must hold an advanced certificate in agriculture or a related field of study at level six or a qualification in agriculture at level seven or higher. The qualifications should include either animal husbandry or crop production, the Department says.
