South Pacific – until 4 May: The award-winning Waterford Musical Society proudly presents South Pacific, considered one of the greatest musicals of the 20th century. Playing in the Theatre Royal, Waterford, the outstanding score includes classic songs such as Some Enchanted Evening, I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Outta My Hair, Happy Talk, Bali Hai, Younger than Springtime and I’m in Love with a Wonderful Guy. 3 Hail Mary’s – 9-11 May: Having enjoyed phenomenal success touring venues around the country, 3 Hail Mary’s makes its debut in the big smoke, as it comes to the Olympia Theatre, Dublin from Thursday 9 May to Saturday 11 May. Written by Midwest Radio’s Tommy Marren, the play centres around three friends’ last day in a nursing home before they get moved to other establishments. Each of the three women are named Mary and have dementia. The production takes a very fresh and funny, but also sensitive look at the lives of those living with dementia. The Intruder – 10 May: This thrilling drama follows the story of a young married couple and the previous owner of their home. When the newlyweds buy their dream house in the Napa Valley, they think they have found the perfect home to take their next steps as a family. But when the strangely attached seller continues to infiltrate their lives, they begin to suspect that he has hidden motivations beyond a quick sale. Starring Michael Ealy, Meagan Good and Dennis Quaid, The Intruder is set for release in Irish cinemas from 10 May.

CountryFest – 3-6 May: Now in its eighth year, Countryfest vows to continue delivering the best in country music and the most entertaining performers to stage.
