Olympic medallists, world and European champions novelty dog shows, shopping village, food fairs and family fun will all be on display and to the fore in one of Ireland’s favourite and friendliest outdoor events in the Tattersalls estate in Co Meath later this month.
Some 35,000 visitors are expected to visit the Tattersalls International Horse Trials and Country Fayre, Ratoath, Co Meath, in a thrilling June bank holiday event expected to generate over €2m to the local economy.
Over 180 competition horses will cross the Irish Sea on the Tuesday morning before the event in two ferries to attend in what is the largest sea crossing of its type.
Asides from the eventing action over course designer Ian Stark’s tracks, there is a full range of KidsZone entertainment; the Connolly’s Red Mills Novelty Dog Show, pony rides, and over 90 exhibitors in the extended Shopping Village.
Event co-oordinator Joanne Quirke said: “Tattersalls International Horse Trials and Country Fayre will be the biggest, best and friendliest family event from May 29th to June 2nd. We have 11 of the world’s top 20 riders competing here. Nowhere else in Ireland will one see the same concentration of Olympic and World medallists at one venue here.”
