Blanket clipping charges by factories, irrespective of the cleanliness of sheep, are undermining the clean livestock policy, according to the IFA.

IFA sheep chair John Lynskey said farmers are strongly opposed to clipping charges and that factories – not farmers – should bear the costs of any action required.
