Farmers have bought green diesel this week at prices as low as 44c/l and 45c/l plus 13.5% VAT, levels that haven’t been seen in a number of years. These prices equal 50c and 51c when VAT is included.
Some buying groups and agri contractors would have access to even keener prices.
This follows Monday’s big drop in international crude oil prices in continuing fallout from the COVID-19 outbreaks. The keen competition between oil distributors here saw a number react and lower prices on Monday by 10c/l.
