Hennessy Auctioneers will hold its monthly machinery auction at Portlaoise Mart (Eircode: R32 WT10) this coming Saturday 24 October. The auction will kick off at 11am sharp, with over 250 lots catalogued to go under the hammer.

Due to Level 5 restrictions, Hennessy Auctioneers will now hold its October monthly machinery auction entirely online. The past number of machinery auctions held by Hennessys have had a strong online following, so the transition to an entire online auction this month is expected to be seamless.

Gates will be open for the remainder of this week from 9am to 5pm for entry drop off and viewing only. The yard will also be open for viewing only on Saturday (24 October) morning from 8am to 11am.

John Hennessy of Hennessy Auctioneers recommends that people come and view the items before Saturday’s auction. Bidders will need to be registered ahead of the online sale and pay a €250 refundable deposit. For the less tech savvy, proxy bids on larger items will be taken before the auction starts.

The yard will be open for collections from Tuesday 27 October to Friday 30 October. The firm have said that, strict COVID-19 protocold must be adhered to while on site viewing items. Social distancing, face mask eearing and use of hand sanitiser are mandatory.
