What is procurement?
Procurement is the process of purchasing goods or services and is usually in reference to business spending. The purchasing is often done through a tendering or competitive bidding process. A procurement manager is responsible for ensuring that a company has a very clear and long-term strategy when purchasing goods and services.
About the role:
The procurement manager of dairy operations will be responsible for developing and leading a strategic approach to the procurement and material supply management processes; for the purchase of goods and services.
In this key role, the candidate will direct the procurement of goods and services for the dairy business units – and across the business as may be required. This will be done by leading and supporting the purchasing team members and colleagues with procurement processes, changes and updates of other procurement-related activities.

You are an experienced leader with a proven ability to build and guide teams to deliver success. As an accomplished negotiator, you consistently deliver value and excellent communication, both verbally and written. You have a comprehensive understanding of supply chains for key raw materials, ingredients and packaging materials. Your mindset is strategic and tactical, whilst also being strong on detail and data analytics. You have strong commercial awareness, an appreciation of the customer, their needs and how to meet them.You are qualified at degree level in one of the following areas: business, procurement, supply chain management, material and logistics management or a related field. You are also Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) qualified. You have a track record of high performance and results at a senior procurement management level, preferably in a related industry.Naturally, you are a results-oriented, metrics-driven leader with expertise in purchasing, internal and external supplier collaboration, development and compliance. You have exceptional numeracy and computer skills. Application:
