Wexford-based tractor dealer Denis Sutton, along with two other business partners, will re-introduce the Ursus brand to Irish farmers in the coming weeks. Trading as Ursus Tractors and Machinery, Denis Sutton plans to re-establish the Ursus brand in Ireland.
The range includes a variety of transmission and engine options to suit different power and financial requirements. Based in Lublin, Poland, the new Ursus factory is 400km away from the original factory in Warsaw.
Ursus tractors have been sold in Ireland since the 1960s. They were originally imported by the Smith Group and the franchise moved to Eamus Ireland in the 1970s.
With the demise of the Eamus operations, owned by the O’Shea Group, D&S Tractors was established to import the Ursus tractors.
Ursus have been part of the D&S range since then, along with the Landini and McCormick brands.
