This little DIY project will have you writing a million different lists, all on the one ‘paper’.

By using a whiteboard marker, you can easily write and erase on the glass part of the picture frame.

Say goodbye to endless paper notes and hello to a sustainable, personalised notice board.

Start by getting a picture frame. Preferably, try upcycling an old one you are not really be using anymore or purchase a new one.

Decoration

Next up, get decorating. This is really the most fun part. You can be as creative as you want and allow your style to be reflected in the decoration.

I opted for a tropical vibe with these painted banana leaves. A quick Google will really help you to draw the shapes you like, or you can go for a plain colour. Any oil, acrylic or watercolour paint will work.

Using objects such as foraged sea shells, colourful buttons or laser-cut plywood designs will all make lovely decorations as well. The upcycling possibilities are endless and all you need additionally is a good liquid glue.

I would recommend inserting a uniform-coloured sheet of paper into your frame so that you can clearly see your writing, as patterns tend to be a bit distracting. You can then write your to-do lists on the glass and erase them again.

Sin é! That’s how simple it is to create a sustainable, practical notice board for all your messages and to-do lists.
