The county had no designated New Holland dealership since the closure of North East Farm Machinery in 2007. This new appointment is in addition to Armstrong Machinery’s existing territory of Dublin and much of Meath. Armstrong Machinery is also the main dealer for New Holland harvest equipment, covering most of the Northern half of the country, selling combines, big balers, round balers and self-propelled forage harvesters.
Armstrong Machinery began its long history in Drogheda, Co Louth, in 1954. It then relocated to neighbouring Slane, and then to Naul in 1999. Finally, in 2012, the business relocated to a new premises at The Five Roads, Lusk, Co Dublin. The company still retains many of its original Louth customers from its time at Drogheda.
The new premises is located just off junction five on the M1 and is just a 30-minute drive from the furthest point of Co Louth, making it easily accessible.
The service team comprises fully trained and qualified New Holland technicians, with the modern equipment and diagnostic tools at hand and fully equipped service vehicles on the road. They also offer a breakdown recovery service.
The sales team comprises Charles and James Hutcheson. Together they have 35 years’ experience in New Holland products, parts, service and warranty.
According to Charles: “We are excited to meet new and old customers in the Louth area and farmers can expect to hear a lot more from the dealership over the coming months.”
