A wider tractor range has been key to growth at SDF, formerly known as Same Deutz Fahr, as it bucks the trend by increasing turnover by 8% in 2015

The company’s turnover outside the UK has increased by 25%, with a reported increase of almost 7% in sales in Turkey and a jump of 40% to 50% in average-value tractors in China. SDF’s profit forecast for the year is 9%, which is the same as the previous year.

The company believes the main reason for such a positive growth, despite global challenges in the industry, is due to SDF offering a greater range of tractors, including high-power products.

Sales manager for the UK and Ireland Kevin Price says the main focus for SDF in 2016 is to target customers who need the new range of high-horsepower tractors and larger combines.

As part of the group’s ongoing international development and to better reflect the entire brand portfolio, Same Deutz-Fahr has also officially changed the company’s name to SDF.

The launch took place at the group headquarters in Treviglio, Italy, in December.

The new name will be used for all the group’s activities worldwide. The typeface and the traditional symbol of the four intersecting elements on the corporate logo have also been modified.

The new trademark will express the same content and values as the previous version, but is designed to reflect the group’s structure and future development.

The change will not affect any of the individual brands or the administrative and commercial activities related to them.
