For the first time in a number of years, the NPA is delighted to announce a return to the demonstration area for equipment manufacturers at this year’s Ploughing. This will be located just a 10-minute walk from the heart of the machinery section in a 25ac stubble field at the rear of the catering area.

The NPA received a number of requests from the public for the return of this part of the Ploughing as machinery companies and farmers were calling for it.

According to the NPA, “we have and continue to listen to our patrons and exhibitors. This area will give people an opportunity to see machinery working and speak with the manufacturers and demonstration drivers about the benefits of the products. This will be close to the competitors in the neighbouring fields. There will be representatives from the various companies in this field and on the stand who will facilitate the demonstrations depending on demand.

Spectators

For comfort and ease of access, there will be steel trackway around the perimeter of the field for spectators. Announcements of the beginning of a demonstration will be made over the public address so people won’t miss out. For companies still interested in being part of this, there are limited spaces still left.

Some of the companies demonstrating equipment are Kverneland, PÖttinger, HLR machinery and Tanco with more to follow. These machines will be on both New Holland and Deutz-Fahr tractors.
